History

JSS Teams was established in 1934 when an enterprising chemist, Mr.Charles Johnson, approached Mr.Edwards (a prominent businessman from Adelaide, Australia) with a formulation that enabled oil to be mixed with water. Together they formed a chemical company that we now know as JSS Teams. Mr.Johnson originally wanted to call the proposed company Johnson’s Antiseptic Soluble Oils Ltd but was content with the abbreviation JSS Teams.

After many successful decades of business in Australia, JSS Teams Asia Pacific Ltd. was established in 1997 (JAP), initially trading as Love Starches (Thailand) Limited and nowadays trading as JSS Teams Additives. JAP was stablished to expand business activities in South-East Asian markets based on the core competencies of high levels of technical service, product innovation (corrugating additive) and consultancy.

Principally our business focuses on technical additive products and service for the paper and packaging industry. However JSS Teams also helps manufacturers in the food business with a range of additives for specialty applications including chewing gum, bakery and frozen noodles.

JAP is a division of George Weston Foods, Australia, which has sales in Australia and New Zealand in excess of US$2 billion per annum. Click on www.gwf.com.au to find out more.
